Zeus: God of Sky, Lightning, Law & Justice
Birth and Miraculous Rescue
Zeus was born as the youngest child to the Titan rulers Kronos and Rhea. Fearing a dire prophecy that predicted his own downfall at the hands of his offspring, Kronos devoured each of his children immediately after birth. To save her youngest son, Rhea concealed the newborn infant in a Cretan cave and tricked her husband into swallowing a swaddled stone instead.
The Titanomachy War
Upon reaching adulthood, Zeus returned to force his father to disgorge his swallowed brothers and sisters. Joining forces with the monstrous Hekatonkheires and the Elder Cyclopes, the divine siblings waged a decade-long war against the ruling Titans known as the Titanomachy. Zeus ultimately defeated his father with Kronos's own scythe, severing the Titan king and banishing his remains deep into the abyssal pits of Tartarus.
Reign as King of Olympus
Following their triumph over the ancient Titans, Zeus established himself as the supreme ruler of the cosmos and king of Mount Olympus. As the sovereign of the Greek pantheon, he assumed ultimate authority over the sky, lightning, thunder, law, order, and justice. His decisive victory transformed the cosmic hierarchy and ushered in a legendary era under his thunderous reign.
